A texture-rich patchwork of ideas, Acne Studios presents its Fall/Winter 2022 collection as a collaging of moods and feelings through apparel, accessories, and characteristically bold footwear.

Presented as part of Paris Fashion Week's extensive palette of collections, from AURALEE to Louis Vuitton and JW Anderson, the Acne Studios Fall/Winter 2022 offering finds itself rooted in Swedish cultural heritage.

At the core of the apparel lineup is an exploration of nomadic lifestyles, specifically those of the transient communities in the heart of northern Sweden where the brand's Creative Director Jonny Johansson grew up.

In his own words, “Being in isolation has made me realize how much we are used to traveling. This led me to think about nomadic communities, like those in the north of Sweden near where I grew up. This collection is about how a language of clothing evolves within communities, mixing and contrasting pieces together.”

These codes have been translated through Acne's distinctive, staple silhouettes – high waists, elongated cuts, and exaggerated proportions across tailored coats, chunky knits, and of course, signature denim.

Although the collection's palette is darker in tone than that of Spring/Summer collections, to call it void of color would be disingenuous. Thanks to a range of fabrications that includes tweeds, crushed velvet, crinkled leather, as well as sequin details, pops of saturated color and rich texture are present throughout.

Acne Studios' Fall/Winter 2022 collection will be available to shop in all physical retail stores and online later this year.
