adidas' 3D Printed Runner Comes With Built-In Air Conditioning
With Summer looming (yes, we’re longing for summer before spring has even officially arrived) it’s time to start considering season appropriate runners, we’re talking breathable, lightweight, airy.
adidas has seemingly also been looking ahead. Enter the ClimaCool Laced.
Think of it as the sneaker equivalent of throwing all your windows open at once. The upper is a 3D-printed lattice shell, almost aggressively ventilated, pushing air in from every angle, including upward from the outsole with each step. Your feet will not be sweating through this one. Promise.
The ClimaCool Laced is actually a spin on the ClimaCool 24, a shoe that's been selling out since it landed in late 2024. The twist? Laces. Sounds simple, but it's the detail that changes everything, a lightweight synthetic tongue and eyelet cutouts on both sides bring a familiar, conventional fit to something that looks anything but.
Otherworldly silhouette, lace-up ease. The space-age runner, domesticated.
The off-white and black colorway is doing a lot of heavy lifting here too. Clean, versatile, and just neutral enough to let that wild lattice structure steal the show, which it absolutely will. At $160, the adidas ClimaCool Laced is available in four colorways, now on adidas’ website.
Arguably, a trypophobe's biggest fear. But when it's this striking, consider it exposure therapy.
