Just a normal black adidas Gazelle, right? Wrong. This classic wears good knits.

adidas dressed its latest Gazelle sneaker in classic black and white, plus some rich leather overlays. But underneath that leather layer, the Three-Stripes model reveals a surprising textural twist.

Turns out, it's wearing a nice knit sweater, too.

That's right, the underlays consist of breezy knit textures, adding some extra (quiet) pizzazz to the simple design.

There have been Gazelles wearing fluffier sweaters (animal print pairs included) as well as suede versions as soft as the cuddliest teddy bears. But these are more lowkey and certainly rotation-ready.

And there's more where that came from. adidas has prepared not just one but two knit Gazelles, with the second landing in white (almost like a flipped version of the one pictured above).
