adidas has released its fair share of formal sneakers and even full-blown dress models. It was only a matter of time before the brand released its own sneaker-loafer.

Yep, you read that right. The German sportswear brand has designed its own half-sneaker, half-loafer hybrid called the Handball Spezial Loafer.

It quite honestly looks like adidas glued the upper of a suede penny loafer onto the Handball Spezial sneaker's signature flat rubber soles. And thus, the Handball Spezial Loafer was born.

adidas has even added some fancy-fied signatures, like shiny Trefoil motifs and quietly luxe Three-Stripes.

The Handball Spezial Loafer is expected to release on adidas' website in February in a few classic colorways, including black, beige, and brown.

Just this season, we've seen adidas' Spezial models go through a boat shoe era and even become an outdoor boot.

And just when we thought the "snloafer" movement was quieting down, in comes adidas with an extra-spezial dress sneaker.
