In an era where sneakers are becoming dressier and dressier, is it any wonder that adidas Originals is now making fancy ass silhouettes?

Enter the NOTITLE adidas Originals Changle "Love in Simplicity." Third collaboration between the Shanghai label and adidas, and they're evidently getting bolder with each one.

The Changle is a bowling shoe that got ideas above its station, in the best possible way. All black, dressy proportions, and a detachable tassel that does more for the shoe's personality than most brands manage with an entire design overhaul. Keep it on, take it off. Either way it works.

Let's talk about that tassel for a second. It's a small thing that disguises an otherwise standard adidas sneaker. But it's the kind of detail that separates a shoe you wear from a shoe you think about. Bowling shoes have never had this much going on.

"Love in Simplicity" sounds like a manifesto, and honestly, it kind of is. No splashy colorways, or even silhouettes. More so, simplicity, elevated.

From a Shanghai brand that's been doing interesting things with adidas without nearly enough people paying attention.

That's about to change.
