Over the years, adidas' OG Samba has gone through many a transformation. But this pony-haired, serpent-scaled version might just take the cake as its weirdest and wildest iteration yet.

Part of a pack of three, this beastly take on the German activewear brand's flagship sneaker model comes in a gray, a black and an off-white colorway, for $110 a pair.

What'd usually be a mix of leather with suede paneling here becomes a bristled base with serpent skin-indentations, for a chimera creature the likes of which we've only come by in mythology, fantasy novels, or folklore.

So, though dyed in shades that'd typically fall under the neutrals umbrella, there ain't nothing neutral about this ferocious kind of footwear.

It's certainly a far (animal's) cry from some of adidas' other recent releases, like its powdery pink Mary Janes. Hard to imagine the same person buying both of these... Or is it?

adidas' OG Samba is nothing if not versatile, making up an entire spectrum of shoe styles at this point, that ranges from fancy bowling alley to sparkly and glamorous to, well, un-tame and furry (not to mention those ready-for-takeoff ones).

All we now is that, upon reviewing these freaky shoes, we deem them feral-y good.
