Enter the newly-introduced adidas Roverend Adventure.

Sitting somewhere between outdoor adventure silhouette and everyday street staple, the Roverend Adventure is everything but subtle.

Let’s start at the sole unit - this behemoth takes on the appearance of a natural rock face, with multiple visible layers creating a 3D texture from the front to back before diffusing into a ripple effect towards the toe. Bleeding into the sole is a wraparound TPU cage that features cutouts throughout, drawing attention to the skeletal-like mixed fabrication upper residing beneath it.

This detail-heavy silhouette certainly isn’t sleek, but its bulky aesthetic and layered build give it a serious amount of character, worthy of a spot in any seasonal rotation.

For its first appearance on the market, the sneaker comes dressed in a palette that is just as noteworthy as its overall construction. The most detail-heavy portion of the sneaker, the sole, comes coated in a lime green hue that extends to the cage and tongue branding, heavily contrasting the off-white tones of the upper.
