adidas' Simple Giraffe Fur Samba Has Quite the Wild Side
Sorry, lions, there's a new king of the jungle. Well, the footwear jungle that is. The humble and lanky giraffe is the latest animalistic muse for adidas’ Samba shoe. Less roaring, more grazing.
The adidas giraffe sneaker series features several different adidas silhouettes, including the Japan, Tokyo, Handball Spezial, and the Gazelle Lo Pro.
But the biggest star in this fuzzy line up is certainly the Samba, which, for all of its iterations, is still the strongest slim sneaker the Three Stripes has to offer.
Hate it or love it, the adidas Samba, available on the adidas website for $100, is still on top. And after years of dominating the sneaker zeitgeist, the Samba now has its sights set on the grassy plains of the savannah.
The patterned Samba's upper is wrapped in giraffe-printed pony hair that gives the sneaker some visual and textural depth, a trait that adidas all but swears by when it comes to its zoological pursuits.
Typically, though, spotted leopards and chocolate brown cows dominate the animal-print sphere when it comes to adidas' sneakers. But in both the animal kingdom and the slim sneaker market, it's all about the survival of the fittest. And giraffes just so happen to be the fittest of them all. Well, for sneakers that is. Real world scenarios may vary.
Regardless of species or creed, though, adidas can find inspo in just about every corner of the zoo. And well, that's beautiful.
