adidas Made an Easy, Breezy Slipper Out of the Samba
The adidas Samba went to Turks and Caicos and came back as a woven slipper hybrid known as the Samba Mule.
The Samba Mule is essentially a vacation-mode version of the classic soccer sneaker. It maintains the Samba's traditional details, like the T-toe box, flat rubber soles, and even the shoelaces. It's all just done in backless, extra-breathable fashion.
Not to mention, the Samba is even fancier as a mule.
It comes wrapped in cream-colored suede and woven leather, which, honestly, calls back to the brand's "basketweave" sneakers. And adidas has also updated the signature "Samba" branding, reintroducing it in a script-style font for its new mule persona.
Really, the Samba has adopted many personalities since going mainstream as a casual sporty sneaker. It's been a Mary Jane and a brogue dress shoe. Why, it's even been a snakeskin boot.
The Mule is simply the Samba made easy and summer-breezy. And it's expected to drop on adidas' website during the summer season.
