The hotter, sweat-inducing days are drawing closer and closer, and adidas is here to the rescue — well, at least in the foot department. Make room for the brand's new breathable Samba sneakers.

In contrast to its leather siblings, the newest adidas Samba sneaker welcomes a refreshing breeze to the foot, courtesy to a new airy mesh upper.

For a second, I thought we were finally getting CLOT's long-awaited Sambas, which also follows a (sort of) air-receptive setup inspired by espadrilles. But the newest Sambas is just adidas. Either way, it's a win.

The adidas Samba also offered up some additional smooth suede and buttery leather textures, mostly in traditional spots like the "T" toe box and Three-Stripes.

Finally, the adidas sneaker gets dressed in cardboard brown tones alongside chalky white accents. The result of this color mashup is a nice natural-colored sneaker that will effortlessly fit into shoe rotations.

Airy Sambas right in time for summer may sound too good to be true — even more when the sneakers drop on April Fools' Day. But adidas' Samba "Cardboard" is the real deal (no joke), and fans can catch the meshy pairs on April 1 at adidas.

The adidas Samba sneaker looks just as good in its classic leather and suede outfits as in leopard-printed fur or even super ruffly lace. The football shoe makes even grandma's vintage napkins look good.

So, it's no shocker to see the adidas Samba look exceptional (and very summer-ready) in its new mesh look. Take that dog days.
