Even as adidas' other flat-soled terrace shoes thrive, the sportswear brand is still showing love to the OG, the Samba sneaker. The sportswear brand continues to release fresh versions of its classic shoe model, and the latest comes by way of the all-new Samba WTR (Winter) sneaker.

The Samba WTR shoe is said to be an outdoor-ready version of the classic adidas shoe, even finished with its own chunky lug soles and hiking-style shoelaces that give it an air of toughness.

adidas' newest Samba sneaker also shares some similarities with adidas' semi-dressy Freizeit sneakers, a line of leisurely and mildly formal sneakers that feature similarly rugged rubber soles.

adidas recently gave the Stan Smith the Freizeit treatment for instance, though the Samba is very much next up (or so it seems).

Yes, interestingly, Song for the Mute recently debuted a deconstructed Samba Freizeit sneaker at Paris Fashion Week. It's a Samba shoe like no other, honestly.

Regardless, whether for the wintry outdoors or formal occasions, the latest hardwearing Samba is quite the looker.

Beyond its aforementioned hiking-ish updates, the shoe additionally promises premium suede uppers joined by a stitch-free T-toe detail that recall the origins of the Samba but updated for toughness.

The sneaker's hairy uppers are topped with reflective details, enhancing visibility.

Plus, they look cool on the shoe, especially in the case of flash photography that'll bring out their splashy appeal.
