Cast your mind back to the 2006 FIFA World Cup, if possible. You probably remember one major event: Zinedine Zidane headbutting Marco Matterazzi in the final. If, however, you’re a sneakerhead, then there’s another highlight, too.

We are, of course, talking about the adidas F50 Tunit Beast Pack. Originally released in limited numbers in the run up to the 2006 World Cup, the pack is making an unlikely comeback for FW26, courtesy of adidas' Y-3 label with Yohji Yamamoto.

The world of football boots is a generally bright one. Highlight color palettes and bold prints are ubiquitous. But, even within this landscape this redo of the adidas F50 Tunit Beast Pack stands out. Just as it did 20 years ago.

The new Beast Pack includes four striking designs: a dragon, a tiger, a wolf, and an eagle.

Re-debuted on the runway at Paris Fashion Week, the adidas F50 Beast Pack has now obviously gone from football to fashion, losing its studs in exchange for a more pavement-friendly sole unit.

While soccer boots are very much in the limelight right now, with adidas and Nike both rolling out retro boots as lifestyle options in recent years, this drop feels a cut above and is sure to hit the nostalgia button for football fans everywhere.
