Winter Really Is Coming, In Nike's "Black & Wolf Grey" Retro Barons
Designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 12 was initially revealed in 1996, and was the first of its family tree of footwear to feature the now-indispensable Zoom Air cushioning.
Nearly 30 years later, Nike is bringing the shoe back, the complete family range, in what they dub the "Black and Wolf Grey" colorway.
This is the latest significant AJ12 reiteration since last year's "Cherry" drop, but follows in the tracks of fellow comeback stories, such as those of the Tiempo, the Gato, and the Midnight Blue 1s, to name only but a few.
The Air Jordan 12 Retro Barons' hiking boot- reminiscent hooks, as well as its leather panels in shades of ice, really set the stage for its debut as the year's unlikely winter sneaker – intentionally or not.
