Double Tap to Zoom

Anne Hathaway? No, this is Andrea "Andy" Sachs, and she's a Gucci girl.

On May 20, at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, Anne Hathaway channeled her inner Andy from The Devil Wears Prada (post-makeover, of course), donning a complete Gucci mini dress — taking a bold deviation from the Cannes festival's formal attire.

Hathaway's navy blue Gucci dress features a slightly risqué patent leather coned bra top and embellished mini skirt — it's enough to make Miranda Priestly hit a double-take over her glasses.

Of course, the dress isn't very Cannes. Still, it works for the iconic actress who gave us Andy and the Princess Diaries' Princess Mia Thermopolis Grimaldi Renaldi (yes, have some respect and say her full name, please).

Clearly, the paps weren't complaining, seeing as all cameras pointed in her direction as soon as she hit the red carpet (just peep the pic above).

Of course, Hathaway fans praised their fave's look, commenting, "this look is it," "Anne Hathaway is the moment," and "Emily would be so proud."

Undoubtedly, the dress is an iconic rule-breaker, but it's not the best part. A pair of Gucci retro cat-eye sunnies and silver metallic platform heels served as the chef's kiss details to the ensemble, rounding off the look with mod 60s flair.

I can't forget the special shoutout to the bump-it, which assumably gave Hathaway the classic 60s hairstyle accompanying her look.

Andy Sachs wasn't the only character Anne Hathaway revisited during her attendance at Cannes. While donning a custom Giorgio Armani white gown on May 19 at the annual film event, Hathaway resembled a young Princess Mia Thermopolis Grimaldi Renaldi (again, the full name, please), specifically in her Royal Engagement era.

Whether Anne Hathaway, Andrea Sachs, or Princess Mia, the Gucci look at Cannes was effortless and chic, to say the least. If Miss Priestly ever smiled, outside of Tom Ford's 2001 collection, it'd be for Hathaway's latest Cannes look.
