Apple has officially announced and sent out invites for a media event that will be held on Monday, March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus. This comes after BuzzFeed first reported back in February that the Cupertino tech giant is slated to unveil its rumored news service on the same date in March.

The event, which will begin at 10 a.m. PST, features the tagline "It's Show Time," and suggests that the event will focus on services rather than hardware, such as the rumored Apple News service and a streaming TV service.

Previous rumors suggested that Apple News service will add paid subscription options to Apple News, allowing users access to paid content on sites like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and more for a fee of $9.99 per month.

As for the TV service, which is expected to launch as early as sometime this spring, Apple reportedly has more than two dozen original TV shows already in the works, many of which have been cast, and will eventually debut through their streaming service.

According to an announcement posted on Apple's events website page, the company will livestream the "It's Show Time" event on its website and through Apple TV.
