Oprah's Book Club will soon be starting a new chapter as the producer, actress, talk show host, philanthropist, and CEO of OWN has partnered with Apple to build her global book club, as well as launch a new Apple TV+ show premiering November 1.

The first book to be featured in Oprah's Book Club is The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates, and it is currently available for pre-order on Apple Books in ebook and audiobook formats. Oprah will also be interviewing Coates for the first episode of her Apple TV+ series, Oprah’s Book Club.

“I am who I am today because of the experience of learning to read at an early age. Reading opened up a whole world for me beyond the red dirt road and my grandmother’s porch in Mississippi,” said Winfrey. “I want to do that for everybody. And the opportunity to do this with Apple, to speak to people all over the world about the pleasures, the excitement, the tension, the drama that a good book can bring you … I don’t know what’s better than that.”

Each time an entry from Oprah’s Book Club is sold on Apple Books, Apple will make a contribution to the American Library Association to support local libraries and fund programs that offer access to everyone. Winfrey's exclusive Apple TV+ show, Oprah’s Book Club, premieres November 1. A new episode will release every two months.
