Instead of Altering Arc'teryx Jackets, BEAMS Made Them Beautiful
It’s fitting that BEAMS' new Arc'teryx collection takes inspiration from superblooms — a rare botanical phenomenon where disparate wildflowers suddenly blossom simultaneously — because a similar phenomenon is occurring in the niche of BEAMS x Arc’teryx gear. Once a rarity, an unprecedented amount of BEAMS x Arc’teryx is coming into bloom.
March 2026 is a perfect example of this escalating phenomenon. BEAMS’ exclusive Arc’teryx Beta jacket is immediately being followed by preppy menswear-inclined womenswear label BEAMS BOY’s “Cosmic Bloom” Arc’teryx collection.
The line consists of two jackets and three bags, each retaining its usual outdoorsy capabilities through features like GORE-TEX-lined fabric and utilitarian pockets. BEAMS BOY's intervention is the colors and, thus, the feel.
BEAMS BOY softens Arc’teryx’s high-tech outdoor gear by giving it a pastel paint-job inspired by the hues of blooming flowers. Pale green, light purple, and baby pink all combine, creating a soothing palette of soft tones.
The new selection drops on March 21 and adds to a succession of stunning BEAMS x Arc’teryx collections.
The Japanese mega-retailer and Canadian outdoor label are still best known for patchworked outerwear that fetches big bucks on the second-hand market, but sub-label BEAMS BOY has quietly built a reputation for revising Arc’teryx’s trail equipment in the most beautiful of colors.
“Cosmic Bloom” is a continuation of good form — after all, few things are prettier than springtime flowers.
