After introducing the GEL-KAYANO 26 last month, ASICS has unveiled a new colorway of the performance runner in a seasonal sneaker pack alongside the GEL-NIMBUS 21. The duo-model drop, which hits shelves today, subverts the tendency among performance running kicks for flashy colorways, elevating them instead with low-key seasonal shades.

The GEL-KAYANO 26 is the newest iteration in ASICS' ever-evolving performance KAYANO line. Launched in 1993 by designer and namesake Toshikazu Kayano, the franchise is guided by the Japanese philosophy of kaizen, which refers to gradual improvement. Each model continues on from its predecessor, offering runners new levels of improved performance and fit.

The 26th edition of the GEL-KAYANO features a breathable jacquard mesh upper, FlyteFoam™ Propel technology, and Guidance TRUSSTIC SYSTEM™ technology for increased stability. This drop sees the running sneaker dressed up in silver shades, with a popped marine blue lining and white sole.

Presented alongside the GEL-KAYANO 26 is a cream colorway of the GEL-NIMBUS 21. Designed to tackle long distances, the technical kick also features FlyteFoam™ Propel technology in the midsole for maximum energy return, as well as ASICS’ renowned GEL technology in the fore- and rearfoot and a fitted mesh upper that hugs that foot as it moves.

The GEL-KAYANO 26 in piedmont grey and the GEL-NIMBUS 21 wood crepe are available now at select retailers worldwide for €180/$160.
