"Est-ce que vous avez l'heure?" This weekend, the answer was always yes. Time flies when you’re having fun, and especially when the fun is being had in St. Moritz. Audemars Piguet showed us how to take on the storied ski resort in style: here’s how our weekend went down.
Audemars Piguet spent the weekend in St. Moritz hosting a run of small, closed-door experience under the name Moritz Moments. The first night landed at Kulm Country Club, where Raven Smith led a private karaoke session. The venue kept its usual no-photo rule in place, which ended up shaping the mood as much as the guest list. Phones were covered, lenses taped, and the few images that did surface came out blurred and distorted.
The following day shifted the focus back to watchmaking. Alongside the social events, Audemars Piguet organised a workshop session that centred on the craft behind the Royal Oak. Instead of presenting finished pieces, the brand invited guests to work through part of the process themselves.
The session was led by the brand’s watchmakers, who introduced the tools and techniques used in the Manufacture. Guests repeated the same motions, satin brushing, circular graining and screw tightening. The process required patience and precision, with progress visible only in small increments, one careful mark at a time. It was a lesson in focus: attention to detail cannot be rushed, even when the world around you moves faster.
On the mountain, time moved differently. Perhaps it was the altitude, perhaps the way sunlight shifted across the soaring Swiss peaks. Minutes stretched and contracted without warning, and schedules mattered less than attention to detail. For Audemars Piguet, that pace suited perfectly: every movement, measured and executed with the same exacting care.
