Balenciaga / Jean-Pierre Attal
1 / 3

Hot on the heels of announcing full four-year scholarships for two students of African-American or Latinx descent at Brooklyn’s Pratt Institute, Balenciaga shares a selection of images from its Fall 2019 campaign. The luxury fashion house tapped artist Jean-Pierre Attal to photograph the project, which served as his first-ever fashion campaign.

The editorial finds Attal channeling his sociological investigation-like series, “Paysages Ethnographiques,” showcasing individuals you would generally find in cosmopolitan scenes, here wandering throughout cosmic deserts in Morocco and Lanzarote. Balenciaga's inventive Fall 2019 silhouettes are worn by this alternative society in a world where the lines between work and play are blurred.

After getting a look at Balenciaga's Jean-Pierre Attal-photographed Fall 2019 campaign stills, remain on the lookout for the label's accompanying campaign video, which shines a light on the intimacy seen within the everyday urban experience.
