Japanese sportswear specialist ASICS has been in business since 1949. Since then, it's provided global athletes of all abilities with footwear for the basketball court, the running track, and more. And in recent years, its prowess as a lifestyle and fashion sneaker purveyor has been firmly cemented.

ASICS has also amassed a long, and grail-birthing, list of collaborative projects with some of fashion's most influential names and labels, such as Ronnie Fieg and Vivienne Westwood. Not only this, but the brand has also left enough time in its schedule to work with smaller, upcoming labels, such as GmbH and Kiko Kostadinov, the latter of which resulted in a sneaker that currently resells for thousands of dollars.

While collab sneakers involving ASICS are always a safe bet to attract hype, queues, and the inevitable missing-out and high prices that follow, there are plenty of general release ASICS sneakers that are easier to get hold of, but equally as worthy of a place in your rotation.

Included in the list below are several sneakers that have received joint-effort reworkings, such as the GEL-Kayano and GEL-1090, offering the chance to invest in timeless, ASICS-only models.
