After a decades-long hiatus, Bugatti has dipped its toe back in the electric arena. The 75% scale, fully electric, single-seater Baby II roadster can be driven away for under $35,000.

The limited-edition model of Type 35 blurs the line between a car and a toy. With help from The Little Car Company, Ettore Bugatti built the Baby II for his son in 1926. Soon after, Bugatti's customers requested their own, and 500 units were made. Now, buyers can choose from Base, Vitesse, and Pur Sang electric variants.

The base model comes with a 1.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack and hydraulic brakes, 1.3 horsepower that increases to 5.8 horses when Expert mode is dialed in and reaches speeds of 30 mph. The Vitesse and the Pur Sang each have a 2.8-kilowatt-hour battery, and boast an upgraded powertrain that generates 13.4 horsepower when the driver uses the Bugatti Speed Key. They're both capable of reaching 42 mph.

Bugatti will make 500 of the Baby II. Pricing ranges from approximately $35,000 for the base model to 68,000 for the Pur Sang variant.
