At one point, you could only catch Converse sneakers at the Bangkok-based retailer Carnival. The label has since spread its wings, now stocking just about every popular sneaker label as well as their fan-favorite kicks. Soon, Carnival's own ASICS collaboration will be part of the mix.

Well, maybe for a short period (I have a feeling they'll be snapped up as soon as the sneakers hit shelves).

Carnival and ASICS joined forces for a collaboration involving the GT-2160 sneaker, ASICS' shining model, which continues to rack up solid colorways and collaborators (Carnival included).

Carnival founder Pint Anupong K. has only revealed mere snippets of Carnival's ASICS GT-2160 sneakers. But even without the entire look, we get the picture: Carnival's ASICS sneakers are pure beauty.

Looking closely at the details, the Carnvial x ASICS Gt-2160 presents nice meshy panels painted in a soothing olive green hue. The breathable underlays are then topped with shiny silver, smooth brown leather, and soft grey suede details.

So far, Carnival's ASICS sneaker looks like heaven for sneakerheads with a particular palate for nice textures (or even those who appreciate a good ASICS shoe).

The Carnival x ASICS GT-2160 sneaker also offers up some vivid orange and blue shades, adding extra visual appeal to the already nice-looking collab.

As we've seen with other shoe team-ups, Carnival branding swoops in to replace traditional ASICS logos or join classic ASICS on the insoles.

Alongside the big grande reveal, we're still awaiting official release details for the Carnival x ASICS GT-2160 sneaker. But with Anupong lacing up in the collab for a recent Instagram flick, something tells me that the launch is closer than we think.

Again, the ASICS GT-2160 continues to receive solid spins, with some of the best hailing from ASICS stockists. Retailers like Above the Clouds and Wood Wood made ASICS that sold out in the blink of an eye, and understandably so (the takes were quite good).

There's more to come from the retailer to ASICS sneaker designer pipeline. But right now, Carnival is advancing the winning streak with its own beautiful spin.
