COMME des GARÇONS BLACK and Nike team up on a sneaker every year. Last year it was the Waffle Racer. This year, according to leaked images, it appears the CDG sublabel will be taking on the Air Zoom Talaria. As is the case every year, the sneaker is wrapped in all black, save for white branding on the tongue and the heel.

The Nike Air Zoom Talaria was originally designed by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. It was debuted in 1997 as a running shoe equipped with Nike’s Zoom Air cushioning. The sneaker was relaunched as part of NikeLab in 2016 and looks to be getting another run this year, as part of the ongoing CDG BLACK partnership.

COMME des GARÇONS BLACK was established in 2009 as a slightly more affordable sublabel for younger customers. One of its main selling points was that everything that was released under its name was all-black, making the pieces easy to style and fit into outfits and rotations. The same can be said for each of the past Nike sneaker collaborations.

No word yet on when the co-branded Air Zoom Talaria is set to be released, but stay tuned for any updates.
