There's good news for Conor McGregor fans, as the Irishman has put pen to paper on a new six-fight contract with the UFC.

Earlier this year, there were murmurs that the fiery Dubliner may choose to call time on his career early. Financial details of the new contract were not revealed, but UFC president Dana White stated the terms could make McGregor the most money in the sport, which is partly owed to his pay-per-view appeal. The deal stipulates that McGregor's whiskey company, Proper Whiskey, will be a sponsor in any UFC event in which he fights.

The news comes as McGregor gets set to face Khabib Nurmagomedov at the upcoming UFC 229 pay-per-view event on October 6. Ahead of the clash, McGregor took part in his first MMA press conference in two years. Watch the foul language affair, which begins at 49:30, below.
