Brand: Daily Paper x What We Wear

Season: FW18

Key Pieces: The collaborative silhouettes draw inspiration from the ideology of utility and body-armor, with clothing designed to conceal and protect. Standout features include sartorial stripes and heat reactive elements gradually blending from grey to neon orange with temperature change, a nod to army flight bombers.

Editor’s Notes: Amsterdam's Daily Paper and London-based contemporary brand What We Wear have teamed up for a collaborative capsule, slated to arrive this week. The project stems from the notion of facing danger in combat, whether in the real or science-fiction worlds.

As mentioned above, the styles are inspired by the ideology of utility and body-armor, more specifically garments that are worn daily but designed to conceal and protect. A reference to army-style flight bombers, various silhouettes boast heat reactive elements allowing them to change color from grey to neon orange when temperature is altered.

Daily Paper and What We Wear's collaborative collection will be available at Daily Paper's London pop-up store on Friday, October 12, at 12 p.m. A special in-store launch event is then scheduled for 6 p.m.
