While many were fixated on Joe Biden and Kamala Harris today, as the pair were sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States, something else entirely stole the show on social media during the inauguration — at least in the sneaker world.

A pair of Dior Air Jordan 1s were spotted in the background of the live TV stream. At first, the wearer was a mystery, however, with a little help from Bobby Kim aka Bobby Hundreds, we learned that the man with the inauguration drip was Nikolas Ajagu, the husband of Meena Harris, Vice President Kamala Harris' niece.

Ajagu was first captured coming down the steps of the Capitol while Amy Klobuchar was speaking at the inauguration. Shortly thereafter, a photo of his feet in the Dior 1s began to circulate on social media. Bobby Hundreds tweeted Meena Harris to ask if it was in fact her husband wearing the highly coveted collaboration, to which she simply replied: "Yes smh."

While some outside our community won’t understand why Ajagu wore sneakers to such a formal gathering, these aren’t just any sneakers. The Dior Air Jordan 1 originally sold for $2,200 and is now going for thousands more on the resale market. Ajagu, who is the head of global partnerships at Facebook, paired the 1s with a suit and tie, as shown in the image above.

Ajagu wasn't the only one donning fresh kicks on Inauguration Day. Joe Biden's granddaughter, Maisy Biden, showed up in the Air Jordan 1 Mid "Sisterhood."

Twitter, of course, jumped on Ajagu’s choice of sneakers, with the majority of users being impressed and heralding it as Black history. Check out the best reactions below.

Some aren’t huge fans of the sneaker and its exorbitant price tag, though
