Perfumery's gourmand craze isn't going anywhere. On Tuesday, Diptyque — the French fine fragrance brand best known for turning scented candles into a status symbol — debuted a food-inspired collaboration with Café Verlet, a Parisian roastery that's been around since 1880.

The duo have cooked up four candles, available online, fragranced after Café Verlet's menu. The first is, of course, coffee-scented — rich, nutty, and slightly fruity, it's a mouth-watering nod to everyone's favorite morning beverage. Biscuit and Chantilly, homages to Verlet's baked goods and whipped cream respectively, are delightfully buttery (far from the saccharine sugar-bomb you might expect).

That said, Diptyque has the dessert-lovers among us covered. The fourth candle in the collection, Fruits Confits, is a jammy treat that features notes of sugared plum and orange.

The delectable scents aren't the only special thing about this collaboration: Clym Evernden, fashion's favorite illustrator, designed its packaging. Evernden — who has worked with the likes of Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Rolls Royce — created a series of whimsical sketches, applied to each candle's glass vessel and cardboard box.

Diptyque's latest endeavor is a delicious departure from the brand's core candle collection, primarily comprised of floral and botanical notes.
