This year is shaping up to be a big one for the Nike Air Max 90, as the model is celebrating its 30th anniversary and will likely be a central part of the Swoosh’s Air Max Day plans in March. According to leaks, Nike is planning to bring back the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” as part of the aforementioned Air Max Day celebrations.

The sneaker originally released in 2005 as a collaborative effort with New York City’s since-closed Dave’s Quality Meats skateboard store. It was one of the most popular Air Max 90 colorways during the model’s heyday in the mid ’00s and will likely be a popular release once again if it really is retroed this year.

Nike already brought out some special-edition Nike Air Max 90s at the end of 2019, with more set to follow over the next 12 months. It’s likely that we’ll continue to see retro colorways brought back alongside special collaborations in 2020.

As always, stay tuned for more information.
