If you haven’t visited one of St. JOHN’s three London locations, you definitely need to.

Part restaurant, part bakery, part winery, St. JOHN is an establishment taking culinary experiences to a completely different level with its simplistic-yet-opulent approach to food and drink.

Together with Drake’s — a label whose approach to fashion is the same as St. JOHN's to food — they are applying its skills on an irreverent and informed apparel collection that celebrates their shared values and ethos.

Tailoring aficionado Drake’s is no stranger to collaborations, having teamed up with New York’s Aimé Leon Dore on multiple occasions. From its debut back in 2019, to a release as recent as last year, Drake’s simplistic approach to opulence has seen it welcomed with open arms across the pond.

This time though, for 2023, it’s keeping things a little closer to home.

Comprising moleskin chore jackets inspired by St. JOHN co-founder Fergus Henderson’s ‘blue de travail’ jacket, a Wine Gilet which is a riff on the waistcoat worn by Trevor Gulliver, the restaurant's other co-founder, the collection is a real meeting of food and fashion.

The collection also offers a nod of appreciation to the phrase which Henderson famously coined (and a wink for those ITK), with NOSE TOTAIL appearing on tote bags, caps and sweatshirts.

Henderson’s beloved wine tasting SNIFFING illustration is also embroidered and on badges, with a reimagined St. JOHN pig also woven onto Drake’s Shetland knitwear.

Available online now — both online and in-store — the collection is a celebration of two of East London’s finest establishments, and the beginning of a long and fruitful collaborative journey.
