Dua Lipa seems to be everywhere right now. If she isn’t wearing never-before-seen Tiffany diamond necklaces at the Met Gala or even hosting her own flash afterparties she’s being cast in star-studded movies like Barbie.

So the fact the Highsnobiety Frontpage alum co-designed Versace’s “La Vacanza” women’s collection shouldn’t really come as a surprise.

The 27 year old, who also co-chaired this year's Met Gala, has been revealed as the latest high-profile name to collaborate with Donatella Versace on the Italian house’s High Summer collection, following in the similar footsteps of Christopher Kane and Kim Jones.

Revealed in an IG post on May 4, Donatella revealed that the collection will be debuted in Cannes on May 23 (the same time as the resort town’s famous film festival), at a currently-undisclosed location.

“Working with Dua on this collection has been very exciting and I love the dynamic between us,” she continued. “Dua is strong, fearless, and free and her creative vision is exceptional. Summer is a magical time.”

Versace and Dua Lipa have always been a thing. Since the early days of her career, Dua Lipa worked closely with the label whether as a guest of Versace's at the 2019 Met Gala, taking to the runway, or even fronting their Spring/Summer campaign last year, there's always been a spark. Co-designing a collection, though?

“She [Donatella] and I have formed such a strong bond over the years, and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received from her and the whole team since the very beginning of my career,” said Dua Lipa in the same post.

“For her to give me the honor of co-designing this collection and letting all my summer inspirations go wild has been a dream. I am so very proud of this collection and cannot wait to debut it in Cannes.”

The “La Vacanza” collection – which will drop immediately following the show's conclusion on May 23 – is about as beach-ready as it comes for Versace. That being said, even without seeing Dua Lipa's input at the time of writing, we all know it's being taken up a notch.
