This Sculptural adidas Sneaker Is a Literal Ace in the Hole
adidas is taking its talents to the world of sculptures. Sculptural sneakers, that is. In collaboration with Entire Studios, the Three Stripes have dropped another classic colorway of its collaborative Ace sneaker.
This time, the duo is taking quite the Thom Browne approach to its sporty couture shoe.
Rich brown leather paneling adorns the stark white upper that is toned down with a gray Three Stripes that gives the Ace sneaker some of that prep star charm. Unlike the traditional Three Stripes seen on adidas classics like the Samba or the Gazelle, the Ace's Three Stripes are layered atop the upper, giving the sneaker a multi-dimensional style profile.
The luxe-forward sneaker also features an extended heel tab, which enhances the sneaker's hefty presence as a structural gem.
There are also subtle touches that enhance the sneaker's elevated disposition, like its dainty laces, perforation at the toe box, and delicate stitching across the upper.
Available on the adidas website for $220, the Ace sneaker now also comes in a tonal all-black colorway. adidas' collaboration with Entire Studios initially kicked off with a tonal collection of muted athleisure that calls upon athletic simplicity and prep-forward prestige to create the perfect concoction of sporty-chic serendipity.
This Ace sneaker is a natural progression of this collaboration, marked by intentional sophistication. The Ace sneaker isn't for play.
