New details have emerged in the acquisition by Farfetch of New Guards Group, which operates but does not own OFF-WHITE™. Under the terms, the contract with Virgil Abloh's brand will run through 2035 but can be renegotiated or terminated in 2026, according to BoF. New Guards controls OFF-WHITE™'s licenses, but Abloh still owns the trademark, meaning he can walk away in 2026.

Until then, Farfetch will work with OFF-WHITE™ to relaunch its webstore and increase the amount of clothing sold on Farfetch's own marketplace

A statement from OFF-WHITE™ said: "“The New Guards Group transaction with Farfetch will not affect Off-White day-to-day operations as the New Guards Group team will become part of Farfetch. We look forward to our ongoing work together.”
