Manhattan's US Attorney's Office is auctioning off a bunch of official Fyre Festival merchandise to help pay organizer Billy McFarland's debts to those he scammed, Vulture reports.

McFarlane is currently serving a six-year jail sentence for scamming Fyre Festival investors out of $26 million. To pay back those he cheated out of money, the Attorney's Office is now looking to sell two large boxes of festival-branded merch, which were handed over by McFarland's lawyer shortly after sentencing.

A spokesman for the United States Marshals Service in Manhattan told Vulture, “We have an assortment of the ‘real thing’ Fyre Festival-branded T-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, wristbands, and medallions," adding, “We know that there is tremendous interest in these items in the NY metro area in particular.”

Takings from the auction will be divvied up between vetted victims in sums based on their respective losses. Specific details regarding the auction date, location, and photographs of the items are still TBD, but check back for more confirmed information as it arrives.
