Double Tap to Zoom

Of course HAVEN, a Canadian menswear label obsessed with tech, wouldn’t just make a normal leather jacket. This is the same brand that makes water-repellent two-piece suits and re-engineers denim to have the breathability of sportswear.

HAVEN is equally fixated on GORE-TEX, dedicating entire seasonal collections to the waterproof membrane. You can see where this is going.

Arguably the lynchpin of the HAVEN Spring/Summer 2026 collection is a leather trucker jacket that slots in nicely amongst the tasteful melange of overwashed workwear, roomy tailoring, and understated hiking gear, each hiding their own neat utilitarian features. The leather jacket is, on the outside, a pretty conventional design built from black cowhide leather with two chest pockets. But there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Hidden zippers and reinforced pleats add extra mobility and storage space to the jacket, while a GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER membrane lines the inside. This isn’t GORE-TEX’s signature waterproof fabric — leather is already plenty water-tight — but a performance material that is water-resistant, fully windproof, and highly breathable, allowing sweat to easily escape.

Trust HAVEN to tech-ify a classic biker leather. Although getting maximum performance out of a leather trucker doesn’t come cheap.

The leather Station Jacket fetches $1,705, making it markedly pricier than anything else in HAVEN’s SS26 collection. Even HAVEN’s tailored overcoats are considerably more economical and they’re cut from Loro Piana’s famously fancy cloth (itself mildly technical, in the sense that wool resists water).

In today’s GORE-TEX-obsessed post-gorpcore world, where it’s downright normal to waterproof even casual shoes and knitwear is going GORE-TEX, it’ll come as no surprise that HAVEN isn’t the first to dream up advanced leather outerwear. Supreme’s been creating leather jackets lined with GORE-TEX since 2022 while last year Stone Island went to the lengths of inventing a new kind of high-performance leather. And though it lacked GORE-TEX, just last month, JJJJound did recreate the familiar shape of a functional windbreaker using leather.

But HAVEN’s jacket is different in that it doesn’t use the contrast between leather and outdoorsy utility gear for visual intrigue. This is simply a classic leather jacket until you get beneath the hood.
