Editor’s Notes: Outerwear brand Helly Hansen digs into its archives for its inaugural HH-118389225 collection. For Fall/Winter 2002, or "202," the label draws inspiration from its late '90's “E-352 offshore survival suit” which was developed for riggers, fishermen and rescue services working in the arctic.

Using modern iterations of the innovative technologies that went into each survival suit, the seasonal collection embraces the E-352’s visual aesthetics and makes use of its professional-grade fabrications, three-layer shell technology, ultrasonic taped seams, 3M reflective detailing and interchangeable utility patch pockets.

The more toned-down basics within the range, meanwhile, are filled with Primaloft Silver for superior insulation. The reversible “immersion” puffer jackets, for instance, feature fully reversible premium nylons, blowable recycled PET insulation, PFC free DWR and differing but equally functional utility compartments on each side of the jacket.

Look for the collection to release at select top-tier stockists globally beginning September 2020.
