A new year, a new innovation from Nike. While the Swoosh's React cushioning was already teased last year in Abloh’s Hyperdunk from "The Ten" series, its first major outing will be as part of the new Nike Epic React running shoe worldwide release on February 22.

Nike's all-new React tech is 5 percent lighter and 11 percent softer than its predecessor, with 10 percent greater energy return than the Lunar Epic 2, which featured LunarLon cushioning. With an extended midsole and an upper that sits directly atop the foam, the technology has been designed to give runners more cushioning and more traction, at a fraction of the previous weight. With Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green spotted testing the tech in a pair of Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknit PE, expect to see the React technology graduate from the track to the court.
