More Rugged & Streamlined, HOKA’s GORE-TEX Trail Boot Enters Its Next Chapter
HOKA’s lightweight yet rugged hiking boot is advancing, with a new generation of cushier and more durable shoes ready to be unleashed onto the trails.
The Kaha 3 GTX is HOKA’s latest do-it-all hiking model, a subtly tweaked and modified take on its outdoorsy trail boot predecessors.
Through GORE-TEX invisible fit, a membrane designed for more comfortable, watertight running shoes, the Kaha 3 has an improved fit plus a new-look upper with beveled edges for a more sporty, streamlined finish.
And under the hood, the Kaha’s plush, soft cushion midsole is also upgraded with a dual-density sugarcane EVA midsole.
Described by HOKA as a long-haul adventure hiker, the Kaha 3 GTX — offered as a low-top sneaker and a tall hiking boot — is releasing soon for $220 to $240, available to preview on the HOKA website.
Launching in a series of neutral colorways (shades of brown, green, and black), the Kaha 3 isn’t a drastic change of direction for the shoe — unlike the recently unveiled Kaha 2 Frost Moc, which is basically a sleeping bag turned hiking shoe. Through small edits, HOKA takes the best bit from its Kaha 2 model and ups the performance where possible.
