HOKA's Wildest Sneakers Are Now Its Stealthiest
For me, HOKA’s main area of expertise is making hella chunky statement sneakers.
So the fact that HOKA has dropped some of its chunkiest and least stealthy-looking shoes as a part of its new “Stealth Pack” could be quite hard to believe.
But you better believe it, because HOKA’s Stealth Pack is actually pretty damn stealthy — which is quite the feat considering just how wild HOKA shoes tend to be.
HOKA’s Stealth Pack line-up is as follows: Bondi 8, Clifton 9 GTX, Clifton LS, and Speedgoat 5, four objectively superb-looking sneakers that on any given day would seldom be described as stealthy.
Yet, stripped of the loud colors and bold branding we often associate with HOKA, the brand’s newly-dropped Stealth Pack is actually as described: stealthy.
The Bondi 8 has been reworked with a clean water-repellent ripstop that sits alongside subtle reflective graphics, while the Clifton 9 GTX, HOKA’s first-ever weather-proof road shoe, arrives clad in GORE-TEX in a sleek icy hue.
The Clifton LS, a silhouette that was a part of HOKA’s debut Satisfy collaboration last year, has received the same treatment as its GTX counterpart, and also adorns reflective laces and a scratch rubber toe.
Then there’s the Speedgoat 5, a minimalist workhorse sneaker designed for technical trails, that's equally as equipped to conquer a more concrete jungle.
Point is, HOKA isn’t often associated with stealth. Yet with a few tweaks here and there, even its most wild-looking sneakers can stealthily go under the radar.
