LYSKRAFT, the title of IKEA's latest furniture collection, pays homage to anyone who has ever modified the brand's most popular items. Created in collaboration with Dutch studio Scholten & Baijings, the range reworks IKEA's Poang lounge chair, Klippan sofa, and other favorites.

Per Fast Company, the Swedish furniture giant announced the collection with an all-caps message, “WE HACKED OURSELVES," and has timed the drop to coincide with its 75th anniversary. The news comes after yesterday's announcement of the GRATULERA collection.

Michael Nikolic, IKEA's creative lead, told Fast Company, "Hacking and DIY are trends that continue to grow. More and more people take creativity into their own hands, loving to remake and renew."

He added, "The hackers are an inspiration to us, and with LYSKRAFT, we feel it’s our time to show we got inspired by them.”

IKEA has long been a proponent of furniture "hacking," and memorably joined forces with British designer Tom Dixon last year.
