At the start of this year, inside an abandoned department store, the Berlin and Milan-based communications agency Reference Studios launched its first edition of INTERVENTION: a platform for national and international designers in Berlin.

Featuring a runway debut from the burgeoning German designer Gerrit Jacob and an experimental presentation by Shayne Oliver’s Anonymous Club, the event gave space for progressive fashion labels to present their work in the German capital. And now, Reference Studios’ Founder and CEO Mumi Haiati is ready to do it all again.

Haiati has developed and curated the second edition of INTERVENTION, running as part of the official Berlin Fashion Week calendar from July 1 to July 4.

This season’s show roster includes the return of LUEDER and Shayne Oliver’s Anonymous Club. Meanwhile, new additions include GmbH, who regularly show during Paris Fashion Week, and the Berlin-based knitwear label Claudia Skoda. Both GmbH and LUEDER are winners of this season’s Berlin Contemporary Prize, awarded by The Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises / Project Future.

The fashion shows will take place at Tempodrom, a multi-purpose event venue in the Berlin district of Tiergarten. Beyond Tempodrom, there will be a series of events taking place across Berlin as part of INTERVENTION.

Italian outerwear label C.P. Company will present its LABORATORIO platform outside of Italy for the first time. This Berlin edition of LABORATORIO will include interactive customization workshops and a public exhibition of seminal archive pieces.

As well as hosting a fashion show, GmbH will be previewing its SS25 collection at Reference Studios’ exhibition space on Potsdamer Straße and selling a curated selection of current pieces. Meanwhile, next door at Reference Studios’ Berlin showroom, the inaugural ‘Reference Forum: New Wave’ will take place showcasing the promising German design talent including LVMH Prize nominee Amesh, Colrs by Zek Meiré, Ioannes, P.L.N., and Katharina Dubbick. 

Once again, Reference Studios is shaking up Berlin Fashion Week and bringing a host of exciting names to the schedule.
