Apple has launched an all-new iPad Air with a 10.5-inch Retina display today, as well as a fifth-generation iPad mini, boasting an upgraded A12 Bionic processor, first-generation Apple Pencil support and new advanced Retina display panel.

Also retailing for the same $399 price tag as the previous iPad mini 4 which has been discontinued, the company says that the addition of an A12 Bionic chip now delivers three times the performance and nine times faster graphics on the iPad mini. In addition, the advanced Retina display with True Tone tech and wide color support is 25 percent brighter and has the highest pixel density (3 million) of any iPad.

Other key features on the iPad Mini is incorporating the same Wi-Fi performance and Gigabit‑class LTE that is built into the latest iPad Pro models, while also retaining the headphone jack. An 8-megapixel rear camera now provides improved low-light performance and HD video recording, while the upgraded 7-megapixel front facing camera allows better-quality selfies and FaceTime HD.

Rendered in silver, space gray and gold finishes in 64 and 256GB storage configurations, the new iPad mini starts at $399 for the Wi-Fi model and $529 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

You can order the new iPad mini on Apple's website today, while availability in Apple stores and authorized retailers begin next week.
