It's a big year for the Jordan Brand and its sneakers, especially the model that kicked things off, the Air Jordan 1. Several Jordan 1 sneakers, high and low-tops included, will drop throughout the year, resulting in a pretty historic lineup of shoes for the Jordan Brand's 40th anniversary.

Amongst those, Nike is bringing back the classic Air Jordan 1 High OG "Bred Toe" sneakers, which aren't exactly how we remember them.

Instead of classic buttery uppers seen on the 2018 pairs, the latest "Bred Toe" 1s feature cracked leather moments, with the updated texture striking the heel, Wings-stamped collar, and toe box. Elsewhere, Jordan incorporates the traditional smooth leather.

The latest "shattered" Jordans is almost how we pictured the original concept for the "Black Toe Reimagined" Jordan 1s. Perhaps sneaker leakers got their "toes" confused and actually meant the forthcoming "Bred Toe" would get the cracked leather. I get it.

Aside from the aged leather look, the "Bred Toe" Jordan 1s preserves the timeless color arrangement, including Varsity Red, Black, and White hues. Yes, the design is super close to the infamous "Bred" design but instead features a white midfoot panel.

Nike is looking to get things — if I may — crackin' with its new "Bred Toe" Jordan 1 sneakers in May. Whispers say the sneaker will arrive on May 22, to be exact.

Before that, Nike will bring back the OGs, the "Bred" 1s, slated to heat up All-Star Weekend alongside the "Black Toe Reimagined" Jordan 1s.

Well, cheers to the Breds and Toes! Imagine saying this to someone who isn't keen on Jordan sneaker culture.
