Nike's Jordan Brand is clog-crazy. But the newest Jordan foam mules might be too crazy even by Nike's adventurous standards.

No, this is not a YEEZY Foam Runner. It's Jordan Brand's Roam Mule.

Okay, to be fair, Jordan's newest clog isn't a full slip-on shoe like the inimitable adidas YEEZY sneaker, but the comparisons are inevitable.

But certainly more so than previous Jordan clogs, which have ranged from Crocs-like shapes to squared-off sandals to classic Jordan 1 colorways chopped off at the heel, the Roam Mule sure does have YEEZY vibes, no?

It was even once believed to be called the Foam Runner, though those rumors ended up being proven false ahead of the Roam Mule's April 10 release date.

Now, there is much to be said about how often brands are accused of imitating adidas YEEZY's admittedly super saleable shapes.

For one, I don't think it's at all controversial to posit that people are simply too quick to accuse footwear designers of imitating existing shoe shapes. Not everything is a YEEZY, y'know.

Secondly, who cares? A shoe shape gets popular, other brands riff on it. Such is life. And hence why literally every footwear label on the planet is riding the foam mule trend.

All that being said, it's still pretty impressive that Jordan would develop a squishy clog with more than mild adidas YEEZY vibes.

No, this shoe isn't a pale imitation of a Foam Runner. In fact, they more closely resemble the techy Nike mules designed by Matthew Williams' 1019 ALYX 9SM or the 3D-printed adilette 22 sandal (itself accused of imitating another YEEZY shoe).

But of all the post-adidas YEEZY slides, the Jordan Roam Mule is, admittedly, a pretty close fit, what with its single-toned colorways, aerated upper, aerodynamic sole, and minimal branding, even I gotta admit that the similarities are there.
