Ringing in a new era of basketball footwear, the Nike Jordan Heir Series 2 is just about here and fully committed to shaking up the sport for the better.

Designed with the help of insights from WNBA stars like Napheesa Collier, the Heir series is dedicated to maximizing performance in women's basketball, specifically, with speed and mobility at its forefront.

Here dyed a powdery lilac with milky, pink-dotted panelling across mesh uppers and black laces, this titular style of the Jordan Heir Series 2 is its visually strongest.

The exoskeleton structure not only looks great though, it's also intended to support stability. A herringbone sole beneath provides the grippyness and responsive cushion needed to quickly execute on-floor maneuvers without risking slips, and keeping its wearer comfortable from start to finish.

Just above the eye-catching neon pink Jumpman that sits on the back of the shoe's heel, find a subtle but highly useful hair-tie fixture to help keep those strands from whipping all over one's face mid-game.

In our interview, the aforementioned Collier doubled-down on how this design and its features put women's play at the center (and its core), rather than simply, say, paint a model from the men's line another color.

All this to say, the queendom that is the WNBA has, quite literally, got itself a respectable Heir to reign over its footwear.
