Kanye West took some time away from working on YANDHI to catch a basketball game over the weekend, when he and daughter, North West, watched close friend and Just Don designer Don C's son play basketball in LA. Sneakerheads, however, would be more intrigued by the fact that Kanye was not wearing adidas kicks, but repping a pair of Reeboks.

The sneaker in question is the OG colorway of Reebok's Daytona DMX, which Reebok treated to a retro release in July. The 1986 running classic features a chunky, cushioned EVA midsole with a removable sockliner. In this case, Reebok is currently owned by adidas since 2005, making this move not such a huge transgression against the Three Stripes.

West was also seen last month wearing Under Armour Sneakers in Chicago, while back in August he offered a peak into his epic sneaker closet, where we were treated to glimpses of Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS, The Broken Arm x Salomon, Balenciaga’s Triple S, OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Prestos, and multiple New Balances.
