Crocoliga is officially getting started. Following the launch of Lacoste’s fresh take on table tennis alongside Highsnobiety and Zalando, the project is kicking off in some of Europe’s creative capitals with the help of three collectives that represent their hometown’s underground cultural scenes.

Obby & Jappari, Dar Studio, and Fritto FM will hold tournaments in their cities to find the local legends with sneaky topspin and killer dropshots. The first tournament held by Obby & Jappari will take place in Berlin on June 27, followed by Dar Studio hosting in Paris on July 11, and the last of the tryout tournaments under the leadership of Fritto FM in Milan on August 1.

Obby & Jappari represent the hybrid culture of Frankfurt and Berlin. Equal parts commercial heavy-hitter and counter-culture favorite, the creative studio transitions effortlessly from stunning 3D visual campaigns to crafting festival identities. With such a striking range in visual style, this collective encapsulates table tennis’ current status not only as a thriving sport but also as a cultural moment. They'll be hosting their tryouts on home turf in Berlin.

In Paris, Dar Studio takes the reins. Rooted heavily in their hometown’s diaspora, Dar doesn't just tap into the local creative scene; they helped build it. By amplifying underrepresented voices across music, art, and sport, they’re bringing Crocoliga straight into the heart of Paris’ real community.

Finally, heading over to Milan, Fritto FM is stepping up to the table. Blending disparate underground genres, the experimental radio platform and creative hub focuses on pushing sonic boundaries and curating immersive audio experiences. Highly respected by a discovery-driven community of DJs and multidisciplinary creatives, Fritto FM drives the niche music scene in Italy's fashion capital.

Each collective will be hosting local tournaments in their respective cities to scout the best talent, test backhands, and prove that this is bigger than a table tennis tournament: it’s hometown pride. Set against the backdrop of Lacoste's unmistakable pieces—from croc-embroidered polos to modern takes on classic sportswear staples—the tournaments are set to be as stylish as they are competitive.

Sign-ups will take place through each collective’s Instagram account so make sure to follow, get your racket ready, and watch this space.
