Atlanta's Lakeith Stanfield visited New York City’s Flight Club to go sneaker shopping with Complex’s Joe La Puma.

While browsing, Stanfield, who also appeared in Get Out and Sorry to Bother Youdiscussed his penchant for going barefoot and revealed that he didn’t actually wear shoes in high school. Now though, he says he’s come to appreciate footwear more — thanks in part to the stylists on FX’s Atlanta, where the actor has been seen in his fair share of fresh Jordan and adidas sneakers.

That appreciation has its limits, however, as Stanfield reacts to seeing a pair of $130,000 Nike YEEZY samples. In the video above he tells his fans that sneakers “aren’t that deep” and that kids shouldn’t go overboard when trying to look good.

Watch the video above to see what Standfield ends up buying and how much he spends on new kicks.
