LEGO is the latest company to support the fight against coronavirus. The toy company has donated $50 million to help children in need during the outbreak.

LEGO has announced two new initiatives that will hopefully help children and families around the world. "With many families staying at home and millions more facing job, food, and medical insecurity, the LEGO Foundation and the LEGO Group have joined forces to address the critical needs of children in these unprecedented times," the company wrote in a statement.

The $50 million pledge will help the children most in need and ensure they continue to have access to learning through play which helps develop life-long skills.

Next LEGO has launched the Let’s Build Together campaign and "letsbuildtogether" hashtag across its social channels, the aim of which is to come up with new ways to provide fun, play-based learning ideas to children and parents.

"We cannot let Covid-19 setback a generation of children," said John Goodwin, CEO, the LEGO Foundation. "We must support all children, including the most vulnerable in society, to ensure they continue to have access to education and develop skills critical for them to thrive in a constantly changing world."
