Following the teaser trailer for Fast & Furious 9, and ahead of the full-length trailer which premieres on Friday, LEGO announces a new partnership with the film franchise. The celebrated toy company is collaborating with Universal on a series of Fast & Furious LEGO kits.

“The Fast & Furious saga continues its blockbuster growth in fun, new ways — with video games, a new animated series and now in the construction toy segment,” said Joe Lawandus, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Toys and Hardlines, Universal Brand Development. “Fans across generations will love building the Fast & Furious car of their dreams with this LEGO Technic set.”

LEGO's Fast & Furious-branded sets will fall under the company's Technic line, which predominantly consists of more advanced models with technical functions. The collaborative kits are expected to be revealed in the coming months, ahead of a launch on April 27.

“The LEGO Technic brand with its authenticity and attention to detail and the action packed Fast & Furious franchise are a great match,” adds Jill Wilfert, Vice President of Inbound & Entertainment Licensing at the LEGO Group. “Both franchises are known for creativity and cool cars so we are really excited to work with Universal on this awesome product that both LEGO Technic and Fast & Furious fans are going to love to build!”

LEGO's Fast & Furious sets will arrive in advance of the latest movie in the franchise, Fast & Furious 9, which releases May 22.
